OPERATION ORDER – GIRAFFE EVACUATION

Location: RAF Brize Norton / Undisclosed Forward Zone

1. Situation
At 1000 local, 19 October 2025, a C-17 Globemaster will depart RAF Brize Norton. The aircraft will proceed to an undisclosed location. For operational security, the exact site remains classified. Mission objective: extraction of stranded giraffes currently assessed to be at risk.

2. Mission
C-17 crew will conduct reconnaissance of the designated landing zone. Once the area is declared secure, aircraft will execute a tactical landing. Rescue operation will commence immediately upon touchdown. All giraffes will be recovered, secured, and loaded for rapid extraction.

3. Execution
Concept of Operations:
Phase 1: Departure and transit to target zone.
Phase 2: Landing zone security assessment.
Phase 3: Tactical landing and recovery of all giraffes.
Phase 4: Rapid departure and return flight (~1.5 hrs).
Phase 5: Recovery operations at RAF Brize Norton, including medical checks and release to families/owners.

Coordinating Instructions:
Each giraffe seat allocation: £35 (includes mission patch + commemorative pin badge).
£10 from each allocation to be donated to Louise’s Fund, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Post-operation:
Giraffes returned to owners via Royal Mail 48Hr Tracked & Signed service, free of charge.
Refunds:
Not available due to pre-committed operational expenditure by GOT Ltd.

4. Service Support
Medical checks on arrival.
Postal delivery of evacuees to final owners.
Commemorative insignia issued to mark participation in the operation.
